Saiwa Swamp is a bird haven, boasting such an abundant wildlife that birdwatchers are sure to feel like they are in bird nirvana.  Water birds include the lesser jacana, grey heron and the African black duck.

Not to be outdone, the numerous orchids that dot this park’s landscape bloom with a fierceness that give ample opportunity for those spectacular photography moments.  There are several botanical safaris that make Saiwa Swamp national park their destination.
