Samawati Conservancy

Samawati Conservancy  is an eco-tourism property that will have you feeling almost like you are in a Swiss Chalet in the mountains.

Located on the banks of Lake Ol Bolossat in Nyahururu, it provides sweeping views of  Lake Ol Bolossat, The Aberdare Mountains and the Ol donyo Satima Escarpments. The three A-frame cabins sit on 20 acres, and the on-site activities include horse riding, donkeycart rides, bike rides, walks and hikes, and ample room to jog in the scenic outdoors.

Lake Ol Bolossat is home to hippos, 180 different species of birds, and 150 flora species.  The Conservancy has also planted the native Yellow Acacia which is home to the Sharpes Longclaw bird and the Jackson’s Widowbird.
