Bomas of Kenya is a museum in Langata, Kenya that promotes the cultures of several tribes of Kenya. The ethnic groups represented are Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin, Kamba, Kisii, Meru, Mijikenda, among others.
Guests get to walk around miniature villages that are built true to the style of the ethnic groups’ village that is represented. It is an excellent way to see the differences in building structures, and learn about how the native fauna and weather affects the style of hut that is built. After that they can watch a show that involves traditional dances and acrobatics from the various tribes. There are also various plays that are performed on site.
